BELIEFS AND MISSION
Bonifay Middle School embarked upon the task of defining it's beliefs and mission by engaging in a process involving teachers, administration, support staff, parents, students, and members of the committee. To begin the process, the school's profile data was examined. Demographics changes in the school, analysis of achievement levels of students, and the opinions of our students, teachers, parents, and committee members were of particular needs. In addition, we worked to remain abreast of current educational research about teaching and leaning. The initial drafts of the belief and mission statement were distributed to all of our staff and a representative sample of students, parents, and community members for review and comment. Feedback was collected by the planning team and
modifications were made based on their comments.
